Catering, Electricity and Internet
Catering
Meals from Sunday evening to Friday afternoon are included in the registration fee. This includes coffee break snacks, lunch. Dinner will be provided on all days except on Wednesday and Friday. With the final registration, you can let us know about allergies or dietary requirements.
Tap water in Zurich is of very good quality. To reduce the ecological footprint of this school, we ask you to please bring your own water bottle.
Electricity
The electricity current used all over Switzerland is 230 Volts AC, which is continental European Standard. However, the wall outlets are unique to Switzerland: socket type J. Make sure you bring an adapter that fits. We will bring a small number of adapters from our office.
Attention:
- Socket type N (Brazil) looks similar, but does NOT fit.
- For socket type C (used in the EU), it depends: only the "normal" version fits, but the larger German Schuko plugs and some French plugs do not fit without an adapter. See here:Link different socket types C
Internet - WiFi
The University of Zurich is part of the eduroam network. Eduroam provides safe, global internet access for those associated with a university or other related institution. Please check with your university's IT department to get information about how to connect to the internet with your current username and password from your university.
